Central Florida Teaching job opportunities in Elementary Education?

I'm thinking of doing a career change and teaching has been a passion of mine. I know there have been challenges in the job market, does anyone know if it has gotten easier to find a job teaching in central florida? Also, do I take the exams before I apply for the temporary license?
